Eric & Ellen
are getting
married!!

Our relationship has taken us a lot of places, from meeting in Los Angeles, to being reconnected years later through a mutual acquaintance in a cafe in the mountains of Peru. Then flying from Austin to Montana to North Carolina, trying to figure out what would come next in our lives. Well, we figured it out and we're officially making things official. We can't wait to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with you by our side.

Join us for a long weekend of good old-fashioned fun as we seal the deal under the big, beautiful Montana summer sky.

Trapper Peak Lodge

This beautiful lodge is nestled into the heart of the Bitterroot Valley in Montana, reflecting the rugged beauty and wilderness of the mountains. With plenty of outdoor space to roam, dance, celebrate with friends, and watch the stars - we knew that this was the perfect location to say "I Do."

Things To Do

Summer in Montana is all about the outdoors. We will have group outings on Friday and Saturday - if you are planning to arrive a few days early and would like to join us, please let us know! We're also including a few links to some local gems and other things to do, if you'd like help planning your own adventure.

- SCHEDULED ACTIVITIES -

FRIDAY, AUGUST 4th

• 11am-2pm - Hike Bear Creek Trail

Eric will head up this 3-mile out-and-back hike to a natural playground about 1.5 miles in, the perfect spot to stop for lunch and maybe a dip in the creek before turning around to head back to town. BYO lunch & water - try Casey's Convenience Store or Victor Merc & Deli for quick and easy trail food. Caravan will leave from Trapper Peak Lodge at 11am, returning at approximately 2pm. Great for kids!

Early risers are welcome to head out on their own - let us know if you need planning or preparation help. Don't forget water!

• 7pm - Friday Dinner @ Trapper Peak Lodge

In lieu of a traditional rehearsal dinner, we will be throwing a casual outdoor dinner at the lodge. All are welcome! If you're in town on Friday night, we want you there. Please make a note when you RSVP below.

Lodging

August is peak travel season in Montana.
We cannot stress enough what a great idea it is to book early!

As we're going to be a bit in the middle of nowhere, traditional hotels are not abundant. We think this is one of the perks, but we know everyone does need a place to lay their head - preferably away from summer heat, bugs and wildlife. Unless you're into that kind of thing!

- - -

If you ARE into that kind of thing - tent and RV camping are available at the lodge for $10/night. Camping will be on the back lawn of the property, sharing a group restroom with access to the kitchen in the main lodge. RV hookups are available. Please contact Ken Soderberg (Ellen's Dad) at ksoderberg@q.com to reserve a spot.

- - -

For those who want to sleep indoors, we highly recommend AirBnB and VRBO, as there are plenty of vacation rental properties in the area! Below are some quick links to rental searches for the local towns of Victor and Missoula:

- VICTOR -

Closest options right in town

AirBnb Victor >     VRBO Victor >

- MISSOULA -

More options - but further away (about 40 mi.)

AirBnB Missoula >     VRBO Missoula >

- - -

And here are a few other options in the area:

Sweet Sage Guest Houses >
various locations

Bitterroot Cabins >
various locations

Bitterroot River Bed & Breakfast >
approx. 13 mi. away

Bitterroot River Inn >
approx. 13 mi. away
